How the Clouds Move: Samahani — ZanziKush Public Library at Art Hotel Zanzibar and Shagalabagala Books invite you to a three-night literary series, launching Thursday, September 24, 2026. The opening night features a reading and conversation with Sudanese novelist Abdelaziz Baraka Sakin, presenting excerpts from his novel Samahani, set in 19th-century Zanzibar and winner of the 2020 Prix de la Littérature Arabe. The discussion is moderated by poet and writer Mamoun Eltlib, founder of Zanzi Kush Library.
