Visiting Zanzibar’s marine parks just got pricier. As of July 1, 2025, the Department of Marine Conservation has revised entry fees for tourists:

The changes aim to boost conservation efforts and manage tourist impact. Local Tanzanians will continue to enjoy free access, while East African citizens get discounted rates.

  • US $25 for non–East African tourists

  • US $10 for East African citizens

  • US $12 for non–East African Tanzanian residents
